Unique hand craved birdhouse is totally functional. Contemporary style large bird is hand carved and painted in vibrant blue with yellow highlights to give a distressed look. He's here to brighten your yard and provide a nesting site for your backyard birds. The 1.25" opening is perfect for house wrens, nuthatches, titmice and maybe even a downy woodpecker. Trap door on belly provides for easy clean out. Complete with a screw-eye hook and heavy hemp rope for hanging.

Please Note: The manufacturer does suggest a thin coat of polyurethane if houses are to be kept outside year-round. This will not only preserve the paint, but helps birds immensely during frigid and wet weather by giving them places to roost, and protection from predators.
