Cute Birdhouse is handcrafted from felted wool and hand-died yarns. It makes for a most unique gift, and nesting site for feathered friends too. Made with sustainably harvested materials including sheep wool, natural hemp cord, and bamboo perch, these handfelted wool birdhouses are created by skilled, Fair Trade artisans in Katmandu, Nepal.

Wool is a naturally water repellent material that sheds rain, if the surface gets wet it will easily air dry. Use indoors for whimsical decor, or outside where birds can make a home to raise young, or even snag some colorful fibers to build their own nests. The 1.25" entrance will accommodate chickadees, titmice, wrens, and other small cavity nesters.

Wool birdhouses are designed for year-round outdoor use, and should maintain their structure for at least one year, with a longer life span if hung in a sheltered area. Colors may begin to fade if left in direct sunlight for more than two months.
