Peanut Bird Feeders for Added Variety

Peanut bird feeders entice more feathered friends to your place! Find unique and durable styles for whole or shelled peanuts, then watch for clinging birds like chickadees, nuthatches, titmice and woodpeckers to visit. Screened, spirals, tubes, wreaths, and eco-friendly peanut feeders also attract grosbeaks, blue jays, flickers, and others.

So peanuts aren't really nuts at all? Considered legumes in the bean family, they're a rich source of protein, fat and calories for most feathered friends. Because they're coveted by so many species, these feeders are a great choice for backyard bird watching. Woodpeckers, jays, nuthatches, juncos, chickadees, grosbeaks, cardinals, pine siskins, titmice and others will be seen munching at a peanut feeder.

Use shelled peanut bird feeders for all birds mentioned above, and whole peanut feeders for jays, woodpeckers, and squirrels. Oh wait, squirrels will eat anything... you may want to consider adding a baffle to keep the critters out of your peanuts!

Most helpful during frigid weather - peanuts offer extra calories for energy to stay warm.
Offer your beaked buddies some variety with a peanut bird feeder and see what new visitors come your way!

As always, adding a fresh water source will attract more birds to your place and keep them coming back!
