    So dissapointed

I was lovin the bird house. Gave it to my husband, a lover of birds, the bird house for our anniversary. No birds. Everyone that has seen it says, because it has no perch, the birds won’t come. So disappointed.

    The Birdhouse Chick

Just wanted to touch base and clarify a possible misconception as the birdhouse was just installed in October. Birds nest in spring. Starting around mid-February through June, you should see some activity as (hopefully) a bluebird will claim the box. If you wanted to watch birds and see them on a daily basis- purchasing a bird feeder might have been a better choice. Bird feeders and birdbaths will see far more activity then a birdhouse. About the perch: Afraid your friends may be wrong as perches may look nice- they are not necessary for birds. In fact- perches tend to attract predators which puts nestlings in harm's way. Please check the birding brochures we sent along- specifically the one on nesting birds. The second column of info shows each species' actual breeding times. This is when your birdhouse will be most popular.
