These are giant wooden nutcracker statues of Mr. and Mrs. Claus, made to greet guests on a covered porch, stand by the front door, or flank the tree. Each one has a working lever on the back that opens and closes the mouth, just like a classic nutcracker. Choose Mrs. Claus, Mr. Claus, or bring home the pair.

Where to Display Them

They look their best indoors near the tree, in an entryway, or on a covered porch where they’re sheltered from direct weather.

Caring for the Finish

These are painted wood. If you leave them out in the elements, the finish will weather and change over time. The nutcracker levers will still work, and the aging adds rustic character. To protect the original paint, apply several coats of a UV-rated, marine-grade polyurethane that won’t yellow white paint. Statues left outdoors may need occasional refinishing to stay vibrant.
