The ground is much cleaner which helps protect the birds from predation of neighborhood cats. Less ground feeding means safer birds. With it catching the seeds, I certainly am going to save money. Great purchase! I’m getting a second one for my other feeding system!

The 30 inch bird seed catcher tray makes sure no seed spills to the ground from our bird feeder. This is necessary for us to avoid having rats in the feeder. We and the birds are very happy with this solution! It is simple to use and very effective.

I’ve been looking for something like this for ages, as the birds waste a lot of seed! I have a couple of pole feeders and just followed directions; easy set up. This might even a lot of sunflower sprouts in my garden beds. A win/win!

SeedHoop Seed catcher (packaged so nicely) is a creative little product. We had major rat problems resulting from all the seed spills from the bird feeder. Not any more! The seed catcher is an uncomplicated, well-made device preventing seed spills to the ground, abolishing a food source for rodents.
The seed catcher tray is well made and is as advertised. I had to change my order after it was placed and was pleased with the excellent customer service. The owner talked me through my options and I am happy to recommend this company 100%!

I love my seed catcher! It looks just like the picture on the box. Including happy birds on the feeder and in the catcher itself, they love eating what has fallen into the catcher. Now just one thing, with my particular feeder, the hooks of the catcher sometimes slip off the feeder. So I took some thin wire and attached the hooks to the feeder and now it is very secure and the birds feel confident the catcher will hold steady. It's such a relief to now have the area underneath the feeder so much cleaner!! and wow, are the birds happy and singing so beautifully!

Definitely helps how much seed is dropping but is a playground for the squirrels and already has a hole after less than 2 weeks.
We are definitely enjoying this. Initially the birds had difficulty negotiating however they have definitely learned! We no longer have to contend with other animals cleaning up the birdseed on the ground beneath our feet or leaving more for our feathered friends on which to feast! Highly recommend!
This is an awesome product. I had been searching for so long for a bird seed catcher of this size. I'm glad I finally found it at the Birdhouse Chick. It's worked perfectly.
Has more less become a squirrel 'food hammoc'... But it is keeping most of hte food off the ground. Would purchase again. Entertaining watching the animals interact with it and each other.
Love the item. This is my second purchase of this unit. The first one was up all year for over two years. Rain, Wind, Snow, Sun. Overtime it needed replacement due to heavy use from all kinds of birds ! Have it placed 6' away from back picture windows so we et to look at it whenever we want. Have had quite a show !
The shipping was quick and done in a proper shipping box. Our objective was to minimize seeds dropping to our yard and not attracting squirrels and geese. The product does so very well. 90% plus of the seeds stay in the Seed Hoop. A recommendation would be to snug the Seed Hoop only a few inches from your feeder for stability. Great product
I must daily re-hook the net to the bird feeder—perhaps because the wind or the squirrel who insists on jumping on it to tip the bird feeder...so much for problems solved...but I do like the concept.Probably should try zip-ties to make the attachment more permanent.

The Seed Hoop does not act as a baffle - thus squirrels could very well be problematic. The hooks are quite sturdy and do stay put (depending how you have them secured). Would advise against using zip ties as the seed catcher will be difficult to remove for cleaning. Adding a squirrel baffle is highly recommended :)
I love these! I've had them on my feeders for a week now. Very sturdy, they were easy to attach, they seem to be wind proof so far, they held up to a snowstorm.There's so much less waste, seed that gets cast out of the feeder are caught and the ground feeders like Juncos are getting up there and eating. Will definitely buy these again, I've been looking for something like this for a long time.
Easy to put together and sturdy. Replaced a homemade one. Much better choice 30 inch tray. The birds really love it, No squirrels to jump over on the ground. Also because of the trays low profile, you can watch the birds easier. I have it out the dinning room window for easy viewing. The tray is well made and hooked to the bird feeder with ease. Also because of the trays design, will be much easier to clear the snow. Yes, I am bird crazy and this tray helps with seeing the birds. I take it in every night and it goes on to the porch with ease. Thank you for the great product!!
The seed catcher has been extremely helpful. We have a large dog who loves to eat the birds’ leavings and then gets sick from the bird seed. The 30” catcher has solved the problem perfectly.
It was really easy to put the seed catcher together. The 30-inch wide one was the perfect size, catches all the seeds, and it is easy to detach from my birdfeeder and throw the seeds on my walkway, where the deer come and eat it up! Really like this seedcatcher. Made really well!
This winter we moved our feeder just outside a window in our Family Room so we could enjoy watching the birds eat. Problem was that with spring/summer hitting we had a real mess with all the seed droppings and shells on the grass. This is the REAL solution for this problem. Now get to watch the birds all year long without corn growing in the lawn ! I'm amazed at all the different types of birds we have attracted. Thank you so much.

We do love this seed hoop seed catcher. It is large and yet unobtrusive. We had had to take down our feeder due to fat, happy mice getting free food and then using us as a free hotel! We are back in business now and are so grateful for this easy solution. It also means that the ground feeding birds are watchable from our upstairs window!! Thank you!
We’ve tried multiple brands and types and this one is the best. We have a dog who likes to eat the discarded bird seed, only to get sick. We now have happy birds, a clean lawn, and a healthier dog.
I have bought several items from The Birdhouse Chick and I have been very satisfied with the products. I bought a 30 inch seed catcher hoop. When it promptly arrived I realized it was too wide to fit my feeder location. I emailed to see if I could return it and was very pleasantly surprised when my email was replied to the same day which was a Saturday. Beth Wheeler said Sure you can return the seed hoop' . If all companies had this kind of customer service it would be great! I am a customer for life!
Birds can be quite picky on which seeds they eat. The seeds that some birds discard and use to fall to the ground are now caught and kept in the screen. Other not so picky birds love to eat those seeds without having to hop around on the ground to find them. Hardly any seeds go uneaten! Great invention!

I was looking for a seed catching tray to put under a feeder that is not supposed to be dropping much seed...one of those metal, squirrel-proof feeders. Anyway, the big birds landing are causing major seed dropping...and this is a confined area that I don't want to be weeding. Thus the search for a seed catching tray, and I came to your website. What a blast! I'm sure you know this, but your website is really different, and I'm looking forward to seeing what comes along as time goes by. My first gift to myself is Miss Tomato birdbath.
